I'm a fan of zombie movies. What can I say, I enjoy all walks of supernatural life!Last weekend I settled in for a little B-Grade zombie movie fun and guess what I saw? Michael Welch kicking zombie butt!
He plays Trevor Bowman, the little brother of Mena Suvari's character Sarah Bowman in the 2008 version of Day of the Dead. It's not exactly a classic in the Zombie Horror genre but it was pretty good. It had a concept not really ever explored in other zombie movies. When the character Bud Crain (Stark Sands) becomes infected and turns into a zombie, he retains some of his human cognitive processes, including a major crush on Sarah. So instead of dispatching of him, Sarah keeps him around. Not only does he not attack her but at one point he gives his zombie life for her. Cool concept indeed.
For fans of anything Twilight, including Twilight star spottings, this is a must see. Michael Welch does a pretty good job of taking out that pesky zombie trash.
